SafeSend Exchange Drop-Off Links providing "recipient" info instead of "sender" info
One of our staff noticed an issue earlier today where incoming messages delivered by SafeSend were providing incorrect "Sender" or "From" information. The "From" information being provided was actually the information of the intended recipient, not the sender. After some testing we found that this appears to be happening when someone selects a user's "Drop-Off" link from say an e-mail signature. At least that is how we found this issue to be repeatable.
- From my personal computer, if I were to select my SafeSend drop off link
- Enter in my personal e-mail information as a test
- test@gmail.com
- test-user
- test-user
The message I would receive from SafeSend would be my own work information, not the information provided by the client attempting to send me a message:
Sender First Name: John
Sender Last Name: Smith
Sender E-mail: john@accounting.com
Sender File Expires: 1/20/2025
Please assist as this is making things very confusing for our staff.
