Introducing TicTie Calculate into the SafeSend Suite
We have added the #1 electronic workpaper preparation tool for tax and accounting professionals into the SafeSend Suite. With TicTie Calculate you can:
- Add custom stamps to work documents.
- Create comprehensive bookmark templates for common documents.
- Use the built in 10-key calculator and print the tape directly to your work documents.
- Track edits to work documents with comprehensive audit logging.
TicTie Calculate will be added to your SafeSend Suite account if you are in the Preferred tier. Essential tier customers who want access to TicTie Calculate can contact their Customer Success Manager for more information.
SafeSend Suite
Improvements

Enhanced Customer Support: Integrated Forethought platform into all SafeSend products to provide instant assistance to users in resolving issues or answering any questions while using our software.
- Users can access the chat window by clicking on the headset widget in the top right-hand corner.
- Users will have the option to directly access Help Center article links provided in the responses or open a support ticket for further assistance.
- Created a new user group named Suite – ERO Only, which allows firms to add users with valid PTINs without mandating them to create login credentials or granting access to SafeSend Suite.

Client Management Enhancement:
- Users can now update the office locations for multiple clients at once in Client Management using the global “Edit Office Location” button.
- Users can now select and delete multiple clients simultaneously from Client Management.
- Users now have the capability to update client information in bulk by uploading a CSV file.
- In User Management, firms now have the option to add users or update users' information in bulk by uploading a CSV file. Users can download the CSV template from the User Management page.
- Implemented an audit report functionality that enables firms to track changes made to the user groups in User Management.
SafeSend Returns
Improvements
- Implemented an internal tracking feature, enabling designated users at the firm to monitor individual tax returns throughout their lifecycle for enhanced transparency and accountability. Users can access this feature by selecting “User Tracking” from the Action dropdown on the Delivered Returns and Archive Returns report pages.
- If additional documents are added to the Additional E-Sign Documents tab, users now have the option to manually add a date stamp for the ERO, along with the manually added ERO stamp.
- Consolidated “Automated Reminders” and “Send Reminder” global buttons on the Delivered Returns and Archive Returns report pages to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Revised voucher reminder logic for specific scenarios in 1040 Married Filing Jointly Returns, ensuring that spouse will not receive voucher reminders in certain cases going forward.
- When a tax return is printed from CCH, the client ID will be auto-extracted from the PDF file name to update client management, eliminating the need for users to manually change client ID during the upload.
- Redesigned firm-facing emails with improved navigation and straightforward call-to-action design templates to improve user experience.
- Revised UI and instructions for the K-1 shareholder user flow to enhance navigation efficiency.
Resolved Issues
- Fixed an issue where the recipient variable was not applying correctly to the Invoice Payment Confirmation email.
- Fixed an issue where the missing year-end date in the K-1 tab was causing delivery errors in grouped returns.
- Fixed an issue where overpayments were being recognized as refunds.
SafeSend Signatures
Improvements
- Radio Buttons: Users can now add up to five radio buttons in documents, enabling recipients to choose one of the available options.

The Settings Page Enhancements: Three new pages have been added under Settings, and some functionalities from the General page have been relocated to these pages.
- The General page now only includes options for Automated Signing Reminders, Signature Document Type, and Sender Delegation.
- Introduced a new Client Instructions page, allowing users to customize email templates for Review and Sign Reminder email and Download E-Signed Forms email once all parties have signed the document.
- Created a new Saved Message page and moved Saved Messages from the General page to this dedicated location.
- Implemented a Security Message page, allowing users to establish default access, create signer’s authentication questions, and toggle signer delegation settings
- Users now have a Single Sign-on option to sign into the desktop application for mail merge via Office 365.
- Revised file naming convention to match SafeSend Returns standards. Downloaded document filenames now begin with the Client ID, followed by the signer’s name, and the document name.
- Users can now update office locations and corresponding contact person information directly from the Delivered Reports and Archive Reports pages via a global button.
- Redesigned the client-facing user interface to enhance navigation and ensure a consistent experience across all SafeSend products. Additionally, clients can now view contact person information at the firm.
Resolved Issues
- Fixed an issue where the firm was receiving "Client Management Failed to Update" emails despite the Client ID not being present in Client Management.
SafeSend Exchange

Multiple File Uploads in DRL:
- Clients can now upload multiple files simultaneously to the requested document line item, offering greater flexibility in document submission to DRL.
- Users at the firm can view these uploaded documents listed under the requested document line item, allowing for preview, download, or deletion.
- Client Management is now integrated with SafeSend Exchange, enhancing message delivery speed and efficiency.
- Users can now directly search and select the email IDs of any clients listed in the Client Management from the “To” field while composing a message in Exchange.
- Firms can streamline the process by eliminating the need to individually whitelist clients in the Drop-off Users page. Now, all clients in the client management will be automatically whitelisted.
- Drop-off Users settings no longer require firms to select a default recipient, offering clients the flexibility to choose their intended recipient without concerns about files being sent to the wrong person.
- Enhanced shared folders search functionality now allows users to search subfolders and their contents directly from the My Files search bar.
- Users can now view and access the Document Requests in the delegated user’s inbox at the firm, fostering increased collaboration.
- Introduced a “Last Download” column under the File View tab in shared folders, facilitating seamless tracking of user download activity.
- Integrated search and sort Exchange inbox functionality in the Exchange Web Add-In
- Improved the Sent page to display the recipient’s name or email address instead of the sender in the message listings.
Resolved Issues
- Fixed an issue where moving received files and messages to a shared folder would not be available in instances where it should.
- Fixed an issue when creating a Document Request List the message description would be blank.
- Fixed an issue where the name of the message recipient would appear in as the signature in a firm expiration email.
- Fixed an issue when receiving messages from a drop off link, the recipient email address would be missing.
SafeSend Extensions
Improvements
- Added the Mailing Address option to the Delivery Options page mirroring SafeSend Returns. Clients opting for manual signature option will now see the mailing address on the page.
- Eliminated hyperlinks for “Reviewed” & “Awaiting Review” statuses on the Extensions Report and Archived Extensions report pages.
- Added Recalled Return Instructions email template to Client Instructions, offering users more flexibility to customize their message.
SafeSend APIs
Improvements
- Users can now cancel sent documents from SafeSend Signatures via the API.
- Returns uploaded via the API will now go through document recognition automatically.

Resolved Issues
- Fixed an issue where the return type of 990's in the SafeSend Returns Download E-Sign Document webhook was incorrect.
- Fixed an issue where the SafeSend Exchange Send Message API would accept duplicate recipients.
