SafeSend Signatures - Two Enhancement Requests

1. Regarding the CC option on Signatures – right now, I  the cc'd person only gets notified of the letters once they’re signed. I thought it was so they’d see the email with the link went out (i.e. client's admin would get cc’d when I send to CEO, so he/she knows the CEO needs to sign so they can make sure this happens.

2. The required signature box that pops up every time you send something in Signatures - We manually upload hundreds of engagement letters each year (as they're all customized). I do not want to have to deal with this box every time. If I'm uploading something to be signed, it's going to be mandatory, why else would we be sending it? We don't see the point of having this box. There at least should be an option in settings to make this standard so we don't have to deal with this so many times.

Thank you for this feedback. I have submitted these requests on your behalf for review. We implemented the tool tip box due to a high volume of requests from firms to mark the signature as optional and to give them more control of the signature controls placed. I can certainly see how a feature to disable this pop up can be beneficial.

  • 1. Allow a way to set a signing order so that if you want to cc an admin so they can pester their boss, they can get the email prior to their boss actually signing the document.

    2. I would wholeheartedly agree on this one - But I would recommend that you create a way to make the pop up available ONLY if you want a signature field to be optional or create a 2nd signature box that is for optional signatures only.

  • 1. I totally agree with this point! There are so many cases where the owner of a business needs to sign something but someone else takes care of doing any procedures after the document has been signed. It would be really nice if the person CCed would also get the email, even if it says something like "You have been CCed on the below email which was sent to <Signer> for signature. Once the <Signer> has signed you will receive the signed copy to download." It should also indicate to the signer that the person was CCed and that they will receive a copy of the files once they have completed signing.

As of right now the email CCed people get when the documents are signed also has 0 information in regards to where the originated doc comes from and only indicates "All documents have been signed."

    2. When they added that pop up box I never understood what it was for, and agreed if we are sending something through signatures it means we need them to sign
