SafeSend Returns - ready for 2024 returns?
Is SafeSend Returns ready for 2024 tax return processing and delivery to clients? There have been no notifications within the SafeSend software as has happened in prior years. Over the last few days I have received conflicting information on the Support Chat and direct email to support. On the chat it was stated that we could upload 2024 tax year returns, but the client delivery was not ready yet. Direct email support stated it was ready but not all forms have gone through testing so we may have errors to report. We do not want to waste time uploading returns and sending to our clients if there will be errors. Very disappointed with the communication so far.

You can upload and process 2024 returns. The Federal portions of the return should be fully recognized, but we are still training some state forms and are waiting for some state forms to be released. For this reason, we recommend you double-check your refunds, amounts due, e-file forms etc. before delivery. I apologize for any confusion this has caused.
If you do notice a recognition issue (form or field that is not recognized but should be), you can use the Report a Problem function and we will update the system as soon as possible.
