Gather - Client Closes Gather
Would like to request that the client not be able to close the Gather request. Clients often don't understand that clicking the finished button means they cannot go back in and upload more documents. It would be best if only CPAs can close the request.

Completely disagree! The Finish button is how our firm knows to download and start working on the clients information. We urge them to use Finish once they have COMPLETED uploading their documents. Until they have completed, they are using the Save & Close button.
Then I'd say you're very fortunate. Too many of our clients have clicked finish and called or emailed us asking to re-open the gather request so they can upload more. This is a daily occurrence. If anything, there should be a "finished, but waiting for more docs" option. The intent of the Save and Close button is not obvious enough to our clients in our experience. I think the Finish button being a bright green also make clients gravitate towards it.
I think the wording should change. Save and Continue Later should be the button for all 3 steps of the tax organizer. The finish button is fine but when they click that. Is there a pop up that tells them by clicking the finish button, you will be locked out from this step of the process etc......
I think there is a popup that says they won't be able to upload again after clicking Finished, but this is often ignored. Also the "Next" button on the bottom of the Organizer page implies next page of the Organizer. The button should say "Document Upload" instead of Next IMO.
