Gather Enhancement - Allow Firms to see/edit DRL before Client Completion

A great improvement on the firm side of the software would be to allow us to view and edit the document request list that is a.i. generated regardless of the completion status of the client's engagement or organizer. If there are documents they had last year that we already know they do not need again this year or if they send in documents through a different method that safe send it would be great for me to be able to manually update that pending document request list to track for our own purposes as well as avoid client confusion.

There are some instances where notifications that are sent from gather to us on the firm side are not accurate or are misleading. I believe when a client views or reopens their documents we get a "a client made a change to a source doc" notification but then there is nothing new to download under the newly added section. There are also instances where if a document is marked as n/a by the client, like a k-1, it will send the notification that a client has uploaded a k-1 or completed uploading a certain percentage of their k-1s when no document was actually uploaded.

  • In addition to this, it would be great to be able to see the document request list when we are downloading to be able to reconcile what is still outstanding.  Right now we have having to go into client view, do a screenshot and then reconcile it based on what docs are downloaded.

    Many times as we are preparing the return we need to add items to the DRL that we didn't need in the PY, but we can't add it to the existing Gather request.
