Community Page Hack

Why did we not hear from anyone at SafeSend last week when the SS Community page was hacked on 5/31? Since I follow all the boards, I received about 30 emails from advertisers who spammed the page with posts, and then the page wasn't available for a day or so. I've been expecting to see an explanation from SafeSend - what is begin done to make sure something like this doesn't happen again?

    Hello Marty!

All of our work was done on the back end, and the fix was quietly made to monitor the process moving forward. After restoring the community, all posts are currently submitted and require approval before being displayed in the forum.

We cleared each offending post and added them to our comprehensive spam filter, but we continue to monitor and observe. This was the first event of its kind for our service, so we are cautiously exploring all avenues of solvency before committing to one path forward.

The current method will prevent further incidents with a 100% success rate, as all posts will require approval by one of our team moderators!
