Consider Replacing “A note from Tax Preparer” Pop-Up Title in Exchange

When clients access a SafeSend Exchange link, they currently see a pop-up titled “A note from Tax Preparer.” This static label doesn’t reflect the full range of services we use Exchange for—such as audit support, tax resolution, and general accounting engagements.

It also doesn’t account for firms where administrative staff or non-tax professionals are the ones communicating with clients through Exchange. This can lead to confusion and misalignment with the actual engagement type.

To improve clarity and client experience, please consider updating the pop-up title to a more neutral default like “Note from Firm” or “Note from [Firm name]” would be a meaningful improvement for multi-service firms and varied team roles.

Thanks for considering this enhancement!

  • Completely agree.  There are other places (perhaps Gather AI) that also has a client experience rooted in a tax preparer perspective that discourages adoption by other service lines (such as Auditors)--for example tax based clip art in the background of the client's interface.

  • We have Wealth Management personnel and Audit Personnel who use this regularly and the messaging is inaccurate as they are not tax preparers.  I am in total agreement to updating it with something more generic accomodating all personnel.
