SS Gather - Entity Signature Handling

For entity requests (e.g., LLCs), Gather currently applies the entity name as the signer’s name. This is awkward and not consistent with standard business practice. The signer is a human, and their personal name should be displayed as the signature (signing on behalf of the entity). A few clients have commented that it’s a little confusing. The human signer has a name—we should use that, not the entity name.

This might be a carryover from Gather’s initial development design when it supported only individual clients. We are discussing sending engagement letters and entity document requests through Box Sign/Workflow/Relay (reverting back to our old process) for tax year 2025 entity returns for this reason and because Box Sign has a simple batch mail merge feature (since SS doesn’t support batch sending of entity Gather requests). We will decide after the next SS release.
