Client Management Portal is a Step Backwards
Requiring all clients to be invited to the Client Portal is a step backwards.
If a client exists in Client Management, they should also exist in the Client Portal Management. Prior to 1/24/2026 this wasn't an issue, but now it is.
If a client selects the "Access Client Portal" link that was a default option prior to 1/24/2026 on all gather requests, they will no longer be able to self register for that portal. It requires firm intervention now to add them on the back end. That addition is manual and tedious as you have to copy the Client ID, name and email addresses from the Client Management area to the Client Portal Management area.
This needs to be rolled back ASAP.

Agreed. The words have been spoken "I've been using SafeSend with you for 4 years, I already have a portal". Then kindly having to explain that its a new feature and trying to make it sound better by the fact that they won't have to get an individual link every time doesn't quite cut it for some.
Also the returns we sent as a group to avoid multiple separate links, so it would act as a sort of portal...won't show up in their portal. You'd have to recall and reprocess them all for them to see the prior year returns. Wish that was different.
Agree that making this multiple databases is a step backward. We shouldn't have to keep client information updated in two separate locations for one SafeSend experience. This could easily have been done with a toggle switch to allow portal access. Please fix!
THIS. It is beyond ridiculous that the Portal Management Dashboard is not connected with the Client Management. I don't mind sending out a portal registration invitation to clients that have not registered for the portal yet since the dashboard allows us to create our own email template and send in bulk, but having to manually add each one or bulk add with a CSV file has created more work during the busiest season of the year for accounting firms. Please fix this.
