SafeSend Organizers - We Received Your 2024 Completed Organizer - Please Update Wording

We find the wording in the automated email that goes out to clients when they click the "Finish" button in their organizer to be misleading.  See copy below:

Hi [Client Name],

Thank you for completing your organizer for the tax year 2024. We have received your organizer and started the review to ensure accuracy and completeness.

You can view or download a copy of your organizer by clicking the button below.

You also have the option to complete this task and manage additional tasks by accessing your Client Portal account.

The statement "We have received your organizer and started the review to ensure accuracy and completeness." Is untrue for our firm and we believe others as in this case the client has not uploaded any source documents so there is effectively nothing we can review. It would be better to remove this, or replace it with a statement that if they have not yet completed their source document upload, they may return to do so.

Also, it tells clients they have the option to access the Client Portal, which we have not yet enabled so they should not be referred to this.

  • I agree - The first sentence needs to be completely removed. We're not providing assurance services in a prep engagement. Yet, the word "ensure" puts us in an awkward situation because we're not providing any assurance services.  It really misrepresents what we're doing. 

    PLEASE REMOVE THIS SENTENCE: 

    "We have received your organizer and started the review to ensure accuracy and completeness."
