Restore Cancel Document

Cancel Document should be restored. There are many common situations where Recall Document and Delete Document are inadequate.

Previously, when Cancel Document was selected, all that needed to be done was include a reason for the cancellation and then Archive it. The signing reminders would stop being sent to the client automatically with no further steps needed on our part. The document would then show in the Archive as Cancelled status and the reason given. Very clean and simple.

Now to achieve the same results, we must navigate to manually turn off all client notifications, then manually navigate to add a note to the document, then archive it. Except that the status does not change and still shows as Out of Signature when that is inaccurate and confusing.

This went from a clean and simple process to clunky, slow, and frustrating.

  • Very disappointing that the Cancel feature was removed without evaluating the effect it would have on users!  Maybe do a simple survey to see the feedback before a change occurs?  This could avoid frustration and a cumbersome process.  Changes are supposed to make it easier and more efficient for users, not the opposite.
