Amended returns - how to process?
Is there a specific process for uploading and delivering an amended return? Trying one now for an 1120S UltraTax return and when I hit the toggle to show amended returns, it does not list there - meaning the system doesn't appear to auto-recognize this return as amended. Do you have to recall the return first? Or ... ?

The process for uploading and processing amended returns is no different than the normal process. The primary difference is the Amended toggle. Since we technically just started supporting amended returns, 2023 tax year and prior will not be recognized as Amended. We suggest you double-check all amounts/dates/forms extra carefully for these years, as the recognition for these years is not supported.
Great question! We're having the same problem.
I'm having the same issue with the system not recognizing Amended returns correctly. I recalled 3 returns for the same client (2022, 2023 and 2024) and uploaded Amended return PDFs for all 3. Only 2024 was placed under the "Amended" filter but all 3 returns are Amended and have the word "Amended" in the filing instructions. What is Safesend's criteria for amended returns?
