No Portal Access for Spouse

In the client portal, the taxpayer will need to add their spouse's email to give them access - that would at least resolve the portal issue.
The spouse that makes the payment is still not getting the reminder, if the first spouse (taxpayer) doesn't forward the email. The reminders should go to BOTH spouses on a joint return.
And, the spouse's email that was added to the original portal cannot be used to create a portal that they can login to as the email shows already in use when added to the first portal.
This "fix" doesn't really seem to help at all...
This doesn't seem to solve the problem. The spouse's email that is added as secondary can still not access the portal and they can't sign up for their own portal since they were added. I am going to contact support to see if we are missing a step.
I'm waiting for support to get back to me now. We have clients who are married filing jointly who both want portal access. So, we have to add them to the new dashboard, which only allows for one client ID per email. However, that doesn't work because UltraTax (and therefore SafeSend) only provides ONE client ID for MFJ clients.
We left Thomson Reuters' Onvio portal system for SafeSend because Onvio had so many problems that SafeSend resolved. My entire firm hated Onvio. Our clients complained about Onvio all the time. But even Onvio treats MFJ clients better than this by allowing married couples to have one portal that was linked to both their emails without jumping through a bunch of hoops. The portal has been a very disappointing experience for our firm and clients alike this year.
