Gather and Tax Return automation
We are using Gather with automated reminders and will have to run reports and manually close Gather requests once the return is complete. If the Gather could be closed and archived when the matching client number and return type is uploaded to SafeSend Tax Returns, this would save my admin team a ton of time, create a better client experience so they are not receiving email notifications to send their documents after their return is complete, and make the automated reminder feature in Gather much more palatable to tax professionals. This would be so great, especially for those clients who choose not to use Gather. Our team currently searches Gather when we receive physical documents, but we do miss a few every now and then, and at the end of the year, we had to do a clean out of Gather.
